The Bar

As with most clubs, including our bustling tennis club, the bar is a central focus to many activities.

In the clubhouse, we also have a reasonably sized 60" plasma TV that allows for a great environment in screening those major televised sporting events (we subscribe to Sky), as well as for occasions such as Karaoke evenings. Needless to say, the operation of the bar runs hand in hand with the social events organised by Linda Shaw (Entertainments Officer).

Our bar is primarily run by a Bar Committee that comprises volunteers, serving behind the bar. We serve a variety of drinks, alcoholic and non alcoholic as well as bar snack items, namely crisps, chocolates, etc. We have also installed a new Lavazza coffee machine serving up delicious espressos, lattes and cappuccinos.

We are always looking for members willing to volunteer circa 3hrs each month to help us behind the bar. You will be fully trained and provided the keys to open the bar. It is also a great way of meeting and getting to know other members, so if you are over 18 years old and interested, please contact me.

The bar is open between 8pm-11pm Monday through Fridays (Wednesday from 6pm for our Club Night), 2pm-6pm Saturdays and 2pm-10pm on Sundays.

We also stock a variety of soft drinks from Coke, Diet Coke, Orange Juice, Lucozade Sports, J2O fruit drinks and, as mentioned above, Lavazza coffee.
